Family Retreat - 2018
The biggest yet! 120 overnight guests and volunteers at the Araluen Lutheran Camp. Weather was not on our side this weekend, but everyone still had fun and so many lasting memories were made. Families had the opportunity to visit Jirrahlinga Wildlife Century, Great Ocean Road Chocolaterie, Ten Pin Bowling and Great Ocean Road Mini Golf. We are thank-ful to the Ford Muscle Car Club of Melbourne, GT Falcon Club of Geelong and Geelong Hot Rodders for coming out in their stunning vehicles and taking our guests on a cruise!
On the Saturday afternoon, things got very muddy when over 40 of our guests went on a four wheel driving adventure compliments of the Werribee & District 4WD club! All the rainy conditions made it that extra bit fun and much higher chances of the vehicles getting bogged, the best part of 4WDriving! Those that stayed behind on site, got to enjoy damper making, kids yoga class, driving simulators, face painting and plenty of fun art and craft activities for the kids.
The highlight of this weekend was on the Sunday, when at long last the sun came out for a few short minutes and all 100 guests stood together wearing grey on Torquay Beach for a spectacular drone shot for brain cancer awareness!! It was a beautiful moment and an image to be treasured.
