Shawn and Kelli – Our Journey Through GBM Brain Cancer

Shawn and KelliMarch 2008. Shawn and Kelli both have profiles on the online dating site: plentyoffish.com Shawn sees Kelli’s profile, notices her smile, and sends her an introductory email. Kelli, who is not looking for a long-term relationship, reads the email, and goes to his profile to see if he meets her “standard”, most importantly that he’s taller than she is. Kelli is six feet tall, so this is not an easy standard to meet, but he does it, so she emails him back, something along the lines of, “I don’t want to waste your time, nor mine, so if you want to meet me, let’s go to dinner because I am not into emailing back and forth for 6 months before we meet.” Shawn likes Kelli’s sassy spunkiness, so he makes arrangements with her to meet for dinner at Chili’s. Shawn is so nervous that he runs out of gas on his way to the restaurant.
