Team Jaxon - Challenge Brain Cancer 2023

Each week, we’ll be highlighting the stories of our 2023 Challenge Brain Cancer Teams. This week is Team Jaxon, led by Jaxon’s sister Grace. Read their story below…

I’m Grace and I’m 11 years old. Eight years ago my Brother Jaxon was diagnosed with terminal Brain Cancer, Diffuse Intrinsic Pontine Glioma (DIPG). We spent 18 months fighting it and ticking off his bucket list, sadly he passed away just before Christmas in 2015 at just 11 years old.

Now me and my family help fundraise and raise awareness for Brain Cancer, especially pediatric Brain Cancer.

I met Challenge Brain Cancer Ambassador Emily when I was helping at the Peace of Mind Family Retreat, I am doing the Challenge for Brain Cancer to help raise more money so they can support more families like Emily’s and all people with Brain Cancer.

I have my Dad Rob, brother Logan and my cousin Lilly joining my team ready to compete in Challenge Brain Cancer. Not only are we going to raise money but I can’t wait to have fun on the day, I hope we win! A $2000 Westfield gift card would be amazing.
