“I am really proud to be an Ambassador for the Peace Of Mind Foundation.

I know about this devastating disease as I have a cousin that suffers from brain cancer. It is a daily battle as she fights to defeat this evil disease.

Please join me in supporting this Foundation. Please spread the word and raise the awareness. All support is necessary but very much appreciated”

Aesha recently appeared in Channel 10’s ‘I’m a Celebrity Get Me Out of Here’, making it to the finale and coming in third place. Aesha is a reality and media personality best known for her role on the hit reality franchise ‘Below Deck.’

Scott was a fan-favourite on seasons four and five of ‘Below Deck: Mediterranean’ and season one of ‘Below Deck: Down Under’, on which she will soon return for season two. Known for her entertaining antics, sidesplitting sense of humour and unmistakable voice, Scott has fast become one of the most popular stars in reality television.

Please help me in making a difference to the lives of people with brain cancer!

“I am so honoured to be a Peace of Mind Foundation ambassador.

The caring and compassionate ways that they help families who are battling brain cancer is nothing short of amazing, and every little bit we can do to provide them with assistance is extremely important.

We all need to work together to fight this horrible disease.”

Kate Darby – AFLW player – Geelong Cats

Geelong Cats footballer Kate Darby is used to challenges, having fought her way back to the top of her game after COVID and following the arrival of her daughter. Along the way, she also helped forge a pathway for women returning to the AFLW after pregnancy.

Giving back to the local community is also something that comes naturally to Kate who last year was the joint recipient of the Carter Family Community Champion award for her outstanding efforts to support the Cats community initiatives.

Taking on the role of Ambassador for Peace of Mind Foundation is another example of Kate’s commitment to her community, with Kate captaining a team and helping support Challenge Brain Cancer 2023, an annual fundraiser at Westfield Geelong.

Kate was awarded the Carter Family Community Champion Award at the 2023 Geelong AFLW awards, an acknowledgement of a player making the best values-based contribution to the club and voted on by players, AFLW staff and coaches.

At just four years old, Emily was diagnosed with brain cancer, an incredibly serious disease that is every family’s worst nightmare.

Her journey from diagnosis to life now as a fun loving and curious nine-year-old who loves the beach and surfing, has presented many challenges, from regular treatment, countless medical appointments and adjusting to a life dramatically different from other children.

'“Being an Ambassador for Peace of Mind Foundation and sharing our families journey is a great privilege.

We have been and continue to be supported by this organisation.

Our daughter’s journey has been one of great highs and lows. Being able to share and raise awareness of the positive impact that Peace of Mind has had for us is important, so that families like ours can be supported.

Allison Cooke

A mum to 3 beautiful children, Lucas, Emily and Hannah, the Cooke family's world was turned upside down with Emily being diagnosed with brain cancer at the age of five in 2017.  Since then, she has worked tirelessly to support her in the challenges that arise from a serious diagnosis.

Allison juggles the demands of working part time, studying, caring for Emily, volunteering in the community as well as everyday family life. She is returning to further study at Deakin University for a Graduate Diploma in Counselling and also volunteers as a member of the Camp Quality Advisory Committee.

Peace of Mind Foundation Ambassador Allison Cooke is acutely aware of the need to raise awareness and support for families, having received ongoing care and support from the organisation over the last few years.

Brooke, Ollie & Hugo Long

Hugo Long

Brain cancer can strike at any age and sadly in the case of baby Hugo, his diagnosis was discovered at just 11 weeks old. Incredibly, he had a rare and aggressive brain tumour which had limited treatments options and a dire prognosis.

For Hugo’s parents Brooke and Ollie, what started as an uncomplicated and happy start to life with a little one, very quickly turned into a nightmare.

“It's broken our hearts seeing Hugo battle the toughest battle but we have had Peace of Mind next to us, understanding and supporting in every brutal part of the journey. From speaking to the team who understand our circumstances, counselling services, financial support and to have the advocacy support that has completely changed the course of Hugo's quality of life we will forever be grateful.  Brain Cancer has taken so much from Hugo's tiny life, but the support Peace of Mind have provided every step especially in our returning home after frontline treatment.”

‘The Peace of Mind Foundation undertakes incredibly valuable work to provide wonderful support to our brain cancer sufferers and their families – I am honoured to be their Ambassador’
