Who We Are

We believe no family should face this journey alone.

Every year, over 2,000 Australians are diagnosed with brain cancer.

With a five-year survival rate of just 22.3%, families faced with a diagnosis need immediate help — navigating treatment, accessing financial support, and finding their footing.

Peace of Mind Foundation offers personalised, one-on-one supportive care from the moment of diagnosis through to bereavement — walking alongside patients and their families at every stage of the journey.

OUR WHY

Born out of love and loss.

We know how important it is to have support, information and someone to turn to when a family is facing brain cancer.

In 2011, Caroline Maree Matthews passed away on her 32nd birthday after living with brain cancer. Her husband Clint and his sister Bec experienced firsthand how difficult it was to find the support their family needed.

In 2013, they founded Peace of Mind Foundation in Caroline’s honour — so other families facing brain cancer would have someone beside them through the journey.

We're here when you need us.

Whether you've just received a diagnosis, you're caring for a loved one, or you want to make a difference, Peace of Mind Foundation is here for you.
