Kevin is an incredible asset to the Peace of Mind team as our Community Engagement Manager.

Outside of Peace of Mind Kevin runs his own consultancy service (Leading Australia) specialising in leadership training and development, has worked with numerous organisations and their teams especially in the not for profit sector and is an experienced executive coach working with senior executives. Kevin is also a sessional Senior Consultant with Siggins Miller Consultancy Qld, specialising in Health Policy.

Kevin has a significant record of employment in the health and welfare sector at the senior level and understands the complexities of both welfare and  health care delivery. He has spent over 30 years as a senior executive working in Victoria, Northern Territory and Western Australia.

His expertise includes Addictions, Community Health, Community Development and Health Policy.

He established and ran a community based alcohol and drug referral service, was also Regional Director for Health in Darwin for six years and Assistant Director Mental Health (Alcohol and Drugs) WA Health from1997 to 2000.  He was CEO of Centacare, welfare service Melbourne (2002-2004) and CEO of Palliative Care Victoria (2004- 2010) prior to setting up his own business.

Kevin  has worked extensively with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander populations and organisations in the NT, WA and Victoria and was recently (June 2018 to August 2019) Interim CEO of the Bodhi Bus, a remote area transport organisation providing transport for remote aboriginal communities in the Top End out of Katherine, Northern Territory.

He is also a voluntary Director with Lifeboat Geelong an organisation set up specifically to provide practical and emotional support to victims/survivors of sexual abuse by church officials.

Kevin has a long time involvement with Surf Life Saving having been a National Director and a current life member of Surf Life Saving Australia. He helped establish and run Surf Life Saving Australia’s Leadership Program for young leaders (2002- 2017) as well as its Master-Class for senior leaders.

Kevin is married with seven children and 10 grandchildren.
