Peace of Mind’s National Advocacy Service (NAS) was designed to help improve the quality of life and survivorship to brain cancer patients, their families and loved ones. Since it’s inception in 2021, NAS has helped over 350 families access Government and non-Government funded programs access around $35M in support.

 

The NAS team of advocates, through personal and professional experience understand the complex and vulnerable time that brain cancer patients experience and offer practical and compassionate support throughout that journey.

 

WHAT DOES NAS DO?

 

Provide general advice, guidance and support to connect to access government-funded financial assistance

NDIS, Disability Support Program, Carer Pension and Allowance, My Aged Care (State or Federal government services).

 

Assist in identifying and connecting to other supports

Carer Gateway, counselling and legal aid.

 

Connect with the brain cancer community and non-government funded supports

Support groups, counselling, POMF brain cancer retreats and community events.

 

Advocate on behalf of brain cancer consumers on survivorship issues

Respond to government issues that affect consumers, support survivorship research, collaborate across partner foundations.
